Creek Care Mural Project
-
The Creek Care Mural Project is an unexpected take on watershed education. It may have started in the classroom, but this project went outside the usual constraints of indoor learning to invite students into hands-on conservation, advocacy, and action, asking them to step into the roles of change-makers for future creek health and stewardship.

Urban creeks have it rough. From preventing litter to stopping suburban run-off, it’s critical that communities take action to protect their local creeks. Learn about ways that you can help your local creek!
Learn About Your Watershed
How’s My Waterway? is a tool designed by the EPA to help the general public understand more about their waterway. Type in your Zip Code and learn something about what impacts your local waterways!
The USGS has a very cool tool called Streamer with an interactive watershed map. Where does your water come from, and where does it go?
Every-Day Action for Creeks

Students who participated in the Creek Care Mural Project didn’t just learn about their watershed, they created public art about it.
From temporary Creek Care Signage to the permanently installed Creek Care Mural, participants sent a message: “We care about Roseland Creek!”
